Located at a state-of-the-art urban complex with top-notch city view - Empire City, District 2, “Memory Lane” project by TD architects is a reminiscence of the owner’s nostalgic days through modern interior design language - a safety nest that not only accommodates urban living lifestyle but also caters to the family’s needs for a true nurturing and bonding environment.

Color schemes can make or break the whole ambience of a place from a very first sight. Inspired by a design story, the apartment is a tasteful collection of different shades of a rice plant throughout its development stage, from light green to ripe yellow. The cemented wall is a reminder of houses in rural areas - rustic but warm and natural. Here, soft color tones are our dominant choice for the entire household - around 70%, with occasional highlights in warm, hot colors for visual effects and a balanced feel of a true home.

In terms of structural and material designs of ceiling - floor - wall, TD architects prioritizes features that uphold the flexibility and connectivity in common living space.

We have fully “exploited” the shapes and curves in design, inspired by iconic rural countryside features from the owner’s hometown: village entrance, rice field, lotus pond, etc. - a memorable sight that is gradually outgrown by industrialization but a beauty to be kept.

Lighting is also carefully calculated, taking into account the layout and lighting colors, to create functional spaces that can adjust to those specific needs of each member. Various types of lighting come in different shapes and illuminating power without exposing the lighting source, hence, better for eyesight.

To bring authentic feelings and cultural elements of Vietnam countryside into a modern design, TD architects embraces the beauty of traditional materials such as handmade ceramics, lacquer, bronze inlay, etc. for their timeless artistry and unique ability to add more character into the space.
