Derived from Buddhist meditation, the term “Kensho” signifies a profound understanding of one's true essence. The practice of meditation seeks balance, self-comprehension, and, when coupled with yoga, serves as a means to unwind and nurture inner tranquility.

Kensho House radiates a sense of calmness, employing a neutral colors palette to bring an elegant allure to the apartment, seamlessly blending Eastern aesthetics.

TD architects have adopted a minimalist layout, with a strong focus on utility. Within the communal living area, the kitchen island takes center stage, creating an unobstructed visual link between the kitchen and the living room, thus expanding and brightening the space. The shoe cabinet and kitchen cupboards have been thoughtfully designed as a cohesive functional unit, integrating with a concealed door leading to storage, ensuring a tidy and refined atmosphere.

Embracing simplicity, TD architects chose to use Shoji paper alongside neutral-toned materials, encapsulating the zen ambiance for Kensho House's interiors.

Inspired by Japanese gardens, Kensho House is our creative embodiment of a serene place - healing and complimenting the homeowners' meditation and yoga lifestyle. Centered around the water pond, the design incorporates changes in terrain, flowing water elements, pebbles, and botanical elements. The interior design employs artful lines through textures, materials, and lighting to foster a positive flow of energy throughout the residence.

Lighting throughout the apartment has been thoughtfully arranged to elicit a gentle and soothing ambiance as one steps inside. Soft, subdued light is cast, inspired by the imagery of a specially recreated skylight, achieved through the use of truncated pyramid-shaped light fixtures along the hallway. Together, these elements craft a peaceful haven, allowing homeowners to nurture the harmony of contemporary living.
