Discover Pink Salt Spa - a commercial project designed by TD architects in Ho Chi Minh City, inspired by the purity of Himalayan pink salt. Within a compact 30m² space, the design embraces soft pink and white tones, warm lighting, and ethereal materials that evoke the serene and sacred spirit of Shambhala.

Inspiration from Himalayan Pink Salt

TD architects envisioned Pink Salt Spa as a space inspired by Himalayan pink salt - a symbol of purification and energetic balance. Beyond its harmonious palette of pink and white that soothes both body and mind, every element in the space was carefully chosen to convey a sense of lightness, calm, and purity.

With only 30 square meters to work with, the design challenge was to create a space that feels both tranquil and visually expansive. TD architects achieved this through a delicate interplay of materials, lighting, and emotion - the three essential pillars that define the project’s distinct character.

A space that touches stillness

As a therapeutic spa, Pink Salt Spa demands a perfect balance between aesthetics and functionality. The TD architects team selected soft, natural materials to awaken a sense of peace and grounding:

• Sheer voile curtains that sway gently in the breeze, evoking airiness and freedom.
• Plush cushions and bedding that envelop the body in comfort.
• Natural materials such as wood, fabric, and Himalayan pink salt that enhance the space’s healing energy.

The result is a space akin to a “Shambhala realm” — where one reaches a state of inner stillness and bliss, perfectly aligned with the spa’s healing philosophy.

Light - The soul of the healing experience

In Pink Salt Spa, light plays the role of the “main character” in the entire design narrative. TD architects used soft, warm lighting with color temperatures ranging from 2700K to 3000K to emulate the gentle glow of candlelight - evoking deep relaxation and tranquility.

To preserve the spa’s serene ambiance while maintaining full functionality, the lighting system is structured into three main layers:

• Ambient lighting: Gentle and adjustable, creating a comforting sense of enclosure.
• Task lighting: Focused on treatment areas to ensure sufficient brightness for precision work.
• Accent lighting: Decorative fixtures that add emotional depth and aesthetic highlights throughout the space.

The harmonious layering of these light sources immerses Pink Salt Spa in a calm, radiant glow - embodying the spirit of “healing through design” that defines TD architects’ philosophy.
